气候变化是一个全球议题。 在国际背景下CYCAN与世界的联系密不可分。 CYCAN在积极参与全球参与的同时，也被世界所关注。我们利用各种机会邀请国外相关组织和个人与中国青年及CYCAN成员直接对话，促进国内外相关领域有经验的青年进行交流，提升国内气候变化行动能力。 与此同时，从2007年巴厘岛气候变化会议开始，CYCAN推荐代表参与全球青年活动和国际气候变化会议，亲历气候变化谈判，探讨青年行动计划，积极地向世界展示中国青年在应对气候变化方面的努力。

Climate change is global. As CYCAN actively engages with the world, it also draws global attention. CYCAN takes every opportunity to invite international organizations and individuals to make direct dialogues with CYCAN to promote communication among young people with experience in their own field, and advance our domestic climate change actions.

Meanwhile, since the UN Bali conference(COP13) ,CYCAN has been sending delegates to participate in international conferences, negotiations and workshops on climate change and discuss the role of youth with young people everywhere. The enthusiastic efforts made by Chinese youth and their active participation in global climate change activities are well demonstrated throughout CYCAN's presence across the globe.

第一届国际青年能源与气候变化峰会

The 1st International Youth Summit on Energy and Climate Change (IYSECC)

2009年7月18－20日，CYCAN与清华大学学生绿色协会、北京大学清洁发展机制研究会共同举办了第一届“国际青年能源与气候变化峰会”（IYSECC）。这是中国能源与气候变化领域上第一次由青年自发主办的国际性青年会议。本届峰会以“聚焦中国，对话世界；低碳未来，青年机遇”为主题，吸引了来自中国及世界各地的近300名学生和青年工作者，围绕着气候变化、节能减排、清洁能源、青年合作、联合国气候谈判等多个热点问题，同政府、学界、NGO、企业等领域的权威人士进行了广泛而深入的交流。

CYCAN成员在峰会长达八个月的筹划和组织中扮演了重要的角色，在与清华和北大同学通力合作的同时，积极负责会议设计、团队建设、筹措资金、招募参会者，以及邀请嘉宾和媒体等诸多方面的工作，确保了峰会的顺利召开。

On July 18, 2009, CYCAN hosted the 1st International Youth Summit on Energy and Climate Change (IYSECC) along with Tsinghua University Green Association and Peking University CDM Club. The theme of the 3-day summit is “China Focus, Global Dialogue, Low-Carbon Future, Youth Opportunity”. As the first international youth conference in the field of China’s energy and climate change independently organized by young students in China, it brought together nearly 300 youth delegates from all over China and the world to come together and share their perspectives on heated issues like climate change, emission reduction, renewable energy, youth collaboration, UN climate negotiation, etc. The summit also provided a great platform for the young delegates to interact with representatives from the government, academia, NGOs, and the private sectors.

As one of the three main organizers, a CYCAN team has worked intensively in the past eight months with colleagues from other two host organizations to realize the summit. CYCAN especially played a critical role in developing the content and format of the summit, team building, fundraising, recruiting participants, and contacting key speakers and media partners, etc.

•2007年9月17日CYCAN代表李立、费晓静、张伯驹等代表中国出席了联合国东北亚青年环境网络（UNEP North East Asia Youth Environment Network）年会。

- Sept. 17, 2007 CYCAN delegates Li Li, Fei Xiaojing and Zhang Boju attended the UNEP North East Asia Youth Environment Network Annual Conference.

•2007年12月CYCAN代表赵春红和罗锐赴巴厘岛见证联合国气候变化大会（COP13）。这是CYCAN 成立之后第一次参加重量级的国际性会议。代表还参与了其他它青年边会，与许多国际组织建立了合作关系，向世界充分宣传了CYCAN。

Dec. 2007 CYCAN delegates Zhao Hongchun and Luo Rui attended COP13 in Bali Island. This is the first meeting of global level that CYCAN had participated in, and CYCAN built connection with many other international youth organizations, presenting itself in front of the global youth community.

•2008年7月李立代表CYCAN参加了在香港举行的亚洲青年气候变化峰会，会上李立向各代表介绍了CYCAN.

Jul. 2008 Li Li attended the Asian Youth Climate Change Summit in Hong Kong.

•2008年8月CYCAN和CCI共同开展“绿色奥运志愿者项目”。CYCAN从全国征集18名志愿者，陪同来自美国的130名奥运志愿者游览京城，了解文化风俗，宣传节能环保。这次活动给美国友人留下了良好的、绿色的奥运印象，增进了两国年轻人的了解。CYCAN和美国环保组织成员进行了初步交流。

Aug. 2008 CYCAN and CCI initiated the “Green Olympics Volunteer Programme”. CYCAN selected 18 volunteers throughout China who accompanied 130 American Olympics volunteers in a Beijing tour, presenting them with a vivid and organic experience of Beijing and China’s traditional culture, promoting green Olympics and energy saving. This programme provided American youth volunteers with an encouraging and exciting impression of the green Olympics.

•2008年11月赵祥宇赴新加坡参加Asian Youth Energy Summit 2008。来自美国、新加坡、印度、中国和丹麦的代表经讨论决定于2009年暑假在中国举办一次国际性的青年能源大会，即IYSECC。

Nov. 2008  Zhao Xiangyu attended Asian Youth Energy Summit in Singapore. Youth leaders from America, Singapore, India, China and Demark decided to hold an international youth energy summit in China, which now is known as IYSECC.

•2008年11月17、18日CYCAN美国协调员曹原作为代表之一，参与了由加利福尼亚州州长施瓦辛格邀请举办，美国各州州长以及来自全世界各地领导人共同参加的“州长全球气候高峰会”（Governors’ Global Climate Summit）。

Nov. 17-18, 2008 Cao Yuan, one of the CYCAN American coordinators, attended the Governors’ Global Climate Summit in California, USA. Governors from many states in U.S. along with leaders from around the world attended this summit which was held by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Governor of California.

•2008.12 第十四届联合国气候变化框架公约大会UNFCCC COP14在波兰波兹南召开，作为中国青年领域关注气候变化的先锋组织，中国青年应对气候变化行动网络CYCAN受UNFCCC秘书处邀请参与此次盛会。，CYCAN总协调李立、技术指导罗锐出席了位于波兰波兹南的COP14第14届联合国气候变化框架公约大会。在会议上，CYCAN分别与来自国内外部分国家的政府官员、国际NGO代表、媒体、各国青年组织代表进行了交流。参与了3次国际青年代表团会议，并与亚洲国家青年代表进行了3次会谈，就即将成立的亚洲青年应对气候变化网络从政策、行动、意识提升、高峰会议等进行了详细交流。

- Dec. 2008 As the pioneering youth organization addressing climate change, CYCAN was invited to attend tbe UNFCCC COP14 held in Poznan. Chief coordinator Li Li and Technology Coordinator Luo Rui communicated with government officials, NGO leaders, media and other youth organizations. They participated in three international youth delegation conferences, and exchanged with other international colleagues opinions on policy setting, action promoting, awareness raising, and summits holding.

•2009年2月27日，CYCAN在美国的成员邓皖林、曹原及国内成员郭云哲、龚杪、徐文佳参加了由EAC主办的Power Shift '09会议。会议期间CYCAN成员在international panel上发言，和各国青年分享了中国目前的气候和能源现状以及青年在应对气候变化方面开展的绿色校园等项目。

Feb. 27th 2009 CYCAN staff from China office joined the staff from U.S. office in attending the Powershift '09 in Washington D.C., USA. In the conference, CYCAN was introduced to the globe, alongwith the ongoing programmes such as Energy Consumption Investigation of HEIs.

•2009年5月24－5月26日，在丹麦哥本哈根举行了World Business Summit on Climate Change。在Planetcall.org网站新闻发布会上，CYCAN代表赵祥宇和其它四位青年，作为全球青年的代表发言，表达了青年人对于COP15各国能达成一致共同解决气候变化问题的渴望。

May 24-26 2005, CYCAN International Team director Zhao Xiangyu attended the World Business Summit on Climate Change in Copenhagen, Denmark. During the planet.org press meeting, Zhao Xiangyu gave a speech expressing the determination and optimism the youth held in that COP15 will bringing the world together and solving the problem of climate change.
