CYCAN member Shane Zhao attended to the World Business Summit on Climate Change in Copenhengen and spoke at the press release of Planetcall.org

From 5.24 to 5.26,World Business Summit on Climate Change took place at Belle Center in Copenhegen. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, former U.S. vice president Al Gore and up to 700 CEOs from all over the world attended to this conference. The main topics include how to deal with the growing problem of climate change and expectations of COP15 which will be held in December 2009. The business leaders reached “The Copenhagen Call” to present the will to act against the climate change and their standpoint in COP15.

As a part of the summit, Copenhagen Climate Council held a news release of Planetcall.org. Planetcall.org is an online platform for young people to discuss the climate change issues. This website has brought the voices of young people to the COP15 and the representatives from all over the world. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and Connie Hedegaard,Minister of Climate and Energy of Denmark spoke at the release to pass their support to the youth. Shane Zhao from CYCAN joined the release with other young people from India and spoke at the release. In his speech, Shane express the will of young people that an agreeable can be reached in COP15 to solve the global problem of climate change.
